September Constant Compaign

Girls!! I am so excited to show you this. I received my card kit last Friday, and finally got a chance to sit down and play. If you know me, you know that I am not one to do what the instructions say. Some of it is what the instruction guide shows, but I changed some papers.

A few things. I suggest buying the Sweet Leaf stamp pad. The kit comes with Dutch Blue and Chocolate (mini's) but I used Sweet Leaf in some places and I think it looks so much better! #2 - All embellishments used are ones you get in the kit except the pearl stickies on the present in card #3 (i think). You can get those from a consultant, but they are not in the catalog. If you want to know more, please let me know.

Just a reminder, you can buy the card kit for $34.95 or you can earn it for free buy purchasing $60 in size A - E stamp sets starting August 18th. Just a note, this card kit is in a bag not a box, like past years.

So, you don't have to wait any more....

Color Me Monday

Jeanette Lynton (CEO of CTMH) does a Color Me Monday. She combines 4 colors and does a few projects. I decided I am going to play along. I am going to try every week to design something with her color combo. Here is this weeks Color Me Monday!

She calls this one Sweet Leaf Lipstick. Initially, this was difficult for me, but once I was going, it wasn't that hard. Here is my card.

Supplies Used: Tulip b&t (Animal Cookies level 2), Tulip Floss, Tulip Brads, Sweet Leaf, Twilight and White Daisy Cardstock, Sweet Leaf, Tulip and Twilight Ink Pad, Sweet Leaf Grosgrain Ribbon, Love Rub-Ons, sparkles, and the All My Love Stamp Set.

This design is from the new Wishes Card Book. It's Pieced Together.

CTMH Contest

To celebrate National Scrapbooking Month, Close To My Heart is sponsoring a contest that anyone can enter! And it is easy to enter—just submit a JPEG photo of an original two-page layout you have created that represents YOU! Be sure to tell us what is happening in the layout, and why this highlights you, your life, or your personality. The Close To My Heart judges will then review all the entries and select five finalists for each category. The finalists will be reposted for you to view. The winners of each category will be determined by comments left or votes from blog viewers. Each winner will receive $150 US retail in fabulous Close To My Heart products!

How do I enter the contest? Send us an email with a JPEG of an original two-page layout you created that represents you in some way. Give us a description of how this represents you. Send your entry to scrapbookandshare@closetomyheart.com. We will then share your artwork and the description you sent to inspire everyone who looks at the Close To My Heart Scrapbook and Share website. I will be creating my layout(s) soon. Hopefully you will join me!
